On the first January 2011 I made a new years resolution ... to take more photographs. How about one a day I thought? OK. And so far, I have.
Each day I take a photograph, which must contain my faithful friend the plastic goldfish.
Each day I take a photograph, which must contain my faithful friend the plastic goldfish.
Why the goldfish? We went out for a walk on 1st January. With my camera, an umbrella (because it was really rainy) and a bag full of objects I could photograph every day for a year. For some reason I thought having something to take a photo of would help channel the creative juices. The criteria: must be able to fit in my bag, be washable and be unbreakable.
We came across a bench carved into the shape of a fish. It seemed like a sign. And so the little orange plastic fish was chosen.
I should have started this blog on 1st January, but it started as a personal challenge and I wasn't sure people would be that interested. I was wrong. The support I've received for the last six months from my Facebook and Flickr followers has been brilliant and has kept me going this far. Thank you all!
Now I'm almost half way through the year I need to catch up and add all my images here, then I'll post daily for the second half of the year.
This is my first ever blog so please bear with me while I get to grips with the site (I have no idea why the text above and below the image will not match up and paragraph spaces are all over the place. Believe me, I've been here ages trying to fix it).
Also, if anyone has any hints and tips on how I can link this with Facebook and Flickr so I don't have to update everything separately every day I'd be really grateful.
